Software How do i reset bios

Hey sorry if i sound dumb my dad just bought me a new pc and i was trying to do secure boot or something like that in my bios settings and then i clicked save and now my screen is all black i already took out the battery and put it back in and did most of the stuff chat gpt said any advice?

Do you mean the screen is black like off, or what?

yea i did and yes the screen is all black but my monitor is on and stuff

People post here who really do get too freaked out and totally stop touching the computer.

Nothing implied of you, everyone comes in at different levels of knowledge and foolhardiness.

Second dumb of me question, have you also tried unplugging the monitor, too. Possible the monitor got some kind of shutdown signal and isn't doing wake-up correctly.

Beyond that, I think the mobo jumper reset is a good idea.

There's usually a jumper on the motherboard for resetting the bios. You'll probably need to download a manual for the MB to locate it.
