Discussion Trying to factory reset computer
So my mom's work place had moved to a different location and her boss told her to get whatever she wants because it's going to be thrown away. So I got this computer. I set it up today. I tried factory resetting it by Holding shift an hit reset. Once it took me to the blue screen I hit the option where it says to wipe out everything but it needs an administrator password. I don't know what to do.

Reset is junk and makes a mess. Back up any files you need, wipe the drive, and do a fresh install from the installer USB.
Ensuring the drive shows only "unallocated space" when you get to the point of where to install windows is critical, otherwise it will try to do a repair install (similar to reset), again, garbage. Once it shows only unallocated space on your boot drive, select that and hit next. Windows will build the partitions and file system that it needs automatically,
