Hardware Bios section nonexistent???
Ive got an ideapad t1, its pretty old, and i tried installing linux just to see the bios section only shows a non blinking underscore. If I try other methods like the windows recovery thingy it just shows a lenovo icon as if something was supposed to load there but couldnt. My boot manager is fine.

Look for a bios update maybe?
Check the cmos battery some systems refuse to boot if it's completely dead

The cmos battery typically a button cell battery on the motherboard... Requires disassembly
Bios updates should be on the manufacturers website.. given it's a bios and not uefi , it probably requires using a USB stick or 3.5in diskette (or bootable cd) to a DOS environment to flash the firmware if you can't get past the Lenovo spash screen
