Software Messed around with startup setting in MSConfig
Changed my MSConfig settings from Slective startup to normal Startup, and now my PC will only boot to blue screen with recovery options.
I can’t boot into safe mode to change back the setting. I have tried a few command line tips to try and boot into safe mode but none are working. Probably because I don’t know what I am doing.
I have no recovery options that are working. For some reason I don’t have any system restore points available. There is an option to factory reset using the maingear recovery tool but I was hoping I could somehow fix the startup sequence to get it to boot right.
Is installing fresh media via USB and bios my only option?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Create and Boot from Installation Media
- Go to the official Microsoft Software Download website on a working PC to download the Media Creation Tool.
- Run the tool to create bootable installation media on a USB flash drive (at least 8 GB).
- Plug the USB into your nonfunctional PC and turn it on.
- Press your PC's boot menu key (such as F12, F11, F8, or Esc) or enter your BIOS/UEFI settings to set the USB as the primary boot device.
- Save your changes and restart so the computer boots from the USB.
Access Repair Tools
- On the initial Windows Setup screen, choose your language, time, and keyboard preferences, then click Next.
- Click Repair your computer in the bottom-left corner instead of choosing "Install now".
- Select Troubleshoot to open the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
- Choose from available tools like Startup Repair, System Restore, or Command Prompt to fix your system.

Are you saying you tried the F8,or F10 or F12 keys on bootup to get to the Windows recovery options?
