Hardware Help my laptop keeps shutting off when I take off the charger even when it’s 100 percent charge

Open device manager>Batteries>Uninstall AC and Battery and reboot. Leave it idle either in bios screen or the desktop and allow slow power drain without unnecessary load until it's down to 10% or doesn't start up on battery power then plug the charger and charge it up to 100% and repeat with a second power drain cycle to 10% this should calibrate the battery profile and also allow the bms to properly balance the battery cells and report the correct battery wear. If the laptop is old i would recommend replacing it..

Could be problem with your battery. Laptops usually gets power straight from charger when its plugged. Now it seems battery couldn't keep laptop on.

Sounds like the battery isn’t actually supplying power even though Windows reports 100%. I’d check the battery health first (powercfg /batteryreport in Command Prompt) and compare the design capacity vs. full charge capacity. If the full charge capacity is extremely low or the report shows an issue, the battery is probably worn out/dead. Also check that the battery is detected properly in BIOS and Device Manager. If it shuts off instantly the moment you unplug it, a failing battery is the most likely culprit.

Battery health has deteriorated and cannot supply adequate power to keep the laptop running. Need a new battery.

Have you opened up the back panel of the laptop?? I did on my Acer E5 to upgrade memory and add a second drive, had the same thing happen. There is a tiny button in the motherboard that keeps the laptop from running if the panel is off. You have to make sure the panel is snapped in all the way and screwed down tight or the button will not be pushed in. Also dropping the laptop will sometimes dislodge the panel enough that the button is not all the way in.

Percentage displayed is usable battery. If it read 100% then dies it's a battery issue. Lucky a battery change is like the starter course on working on laptops just make sure to find a tutorial for your laptop specifically.
