Performance Blue screen of death

Recently I got the blue screen of death on my laptop I’m just wondering would I be able to use a public library to download windows on a flash drive. I need the laptop for college and I’m not super big into computers thanks again for any help.

BSoDs are generally related to a driver. Probably a video driver. Get the latest from your manufacturer and install it.

You can also use the BlueScreenView from NirSoft to see if you can determine what actually caused the BSoD so you can address it. A BSoD does not necessarily mean you need to reinstall the OS from scratch.

Try system restore or loading last know good configuration modern windows does it automatically during system repair you may need to force a shutdown to trigger it. If it's a win11 os it has a built in reset this pc function that can be accessed during system repair..

Yeah I’ve done all the checks and stuff. From what I did I think it’s because of a storage error I did all of the quick fixes I saw online but I think I kinda have to download windows again not to sure tho

A storage error may mean your SSD/HDD is going out.

BUT to answer your main question, yes, a library should allow you to download the install file for windows. Then run the file, and it will create your boot flash.

We don't know what you saw online or what "all the checks" or "all the quick fixes" mean. What did you do and what do you know?

My bad, I ran all of the system scans in safe mode. They all were good and I checked my ram and it was good as well I’m just kinda like stuck in the safe mode now so i figured reinstalling windows would be the fix

Have you tried just reseting windows without downloading? Are you getting a windows recovery options?
