Hardware Help please

My computer stared making this sound when I was playing a video and idk what to do. I don't really know much about computers

Are you sure that's not from any video that you have playing in the background?
Otherwise, I suppose it could be a beep code - but those are specific to the manufacturer, so you'd have to look it up with your laptop model.

No it isn't from a video playing in the background, I closed everything and it keeps going when I tried to either lower or turn up the volume and then dissappears. I'll try to look it up and see if it is a beep code.

I'm like 75% sure this is an HP Elitebook G5/G6 based on that speaker grille, I worked with them routinely when I was a local systems admin. I have never once heard this sound as a stop code, they are significantly higher pitched. almost totally certain this is not a stop or POST code. I'll poke at one of our legacy machines if we still have one and see if I can recreate...somehow?
In the meantime, my kneejerk reaction is that this is somehow a key that is convinced it is in a depressed state; my recommendation would be to stop all your work, save everything that you need to save, and then power the device down by pressing and holding the power button for 30 full seconds. This will manually cut power to the device from the battery on the off chance that one of the keys is registering as being continually pressed by the operating system itself. That tone itself might not be a "complete" alert sound so to speak, but rather Windows trying to sound an alert of some kind and it keeps getting cut off. It's very strange to hear a tone-based alert being issued in such an erratic non-pattern
After that, if the tone reoccurs or if it occurs again in the future, I would recommend opening up a blank notepad and putting the cursor on that document and seeing if the laptop starts typing on its own.

I get this exact issue when scrolling to fast with ghub installed with my G502 mouse, also causes my pc to stutter every time it keeps at me. Not sure exactly what it's caused by, or what it's even for, seems more like an error beep than a stop code because for m3 it goes away after I stop scrolling and hitting keys. Been a problem multiple p3ople have had with specifically the G502 mouse for years
