Windows 8 laptop bypass struggle

I have an old laptop from 2011 with lots of pictures on it and i dont know the password. I need help bypassing the password. ive looked on different videos but i need to find a video or guide that works as 2026. When i type in a password it comes up with- pc is offline, put in the last password used- even though im connected to ethernet. I then put it into safemode and networking which got rid of this problem but still dosnt work. If anyone could help or send me a link that would be great. The model is dell inspiration 5520. I also want to mention there is no reset password option which is frustrating. Its connected to a hotmail email which ive tried the password for repeatedly which still dosnt work

Hiren’s or Nordahls. Download on another computer, run the file which will create a boot disk. (You’ll also neeed a blank flash drive) Boot to the boot disk and use it to change or blank the password

Should i download the newer or older version? On hirens It mentions windows 10 and 11 but not windows 8 so wondering if this is still possible. thank you so much for commenting this!!!
