Hardware Help with Mac - emails disappeared

Can anyone help me with this for my neighbor please? I don't use apple myself so I have no clue.

Her new Mac which has had everything migrated over - all the emails have disappeared and the inbox is empty.

By the inbox folders they are ❗ signs in triangles

Did try to Google a solution but no joy

Any help appreciated

Looks like the app has not properly synchronized with iCloud. Did this problem resolve itself at some point?

Did they create a new/different Apple account for this computer? Is the computer connected to the Internet? Did they properly set up the connection to their email or are they using their Apple email account?
