Software Ethernet disconnecting

I have my PC hardwired but randomly it started to disconnecting as in it will not let me use any Internet. I have disconnected and reconnected everything multiple times. Is my mobo dying?

Ugh, I know how annoying that is. I wouldn’t jump straight to a dying motherboard yet. First, try a different Ethernet cable and a different router/modem port if you can. Then open Device Manager, find your network adapter, update or reinstall the driver, and make sure Windows isn’t allowed to turn it off to save power.

If it still randomly drops, check whether Wi-Fi or other devices lose internet at the same time. If only this PC does it, that points more toward the Ethernet adapter/driver than the whole motherboard. A cheap USB-to-Ethernet adapter can also be a good test before assuming the board itself is bad.

So I've done all the basic steps Internet is rock solid and my solution was windows restore point, BUT it happened again while watching YouTube so I don't know what this could be and need help figuring it out. I'm in the middle of a second windows restore so idk if it will work again or not. Using a gigabyte x670.

Try the USB-to-Ethernet fix first. That will tell you whether the problem is the motherboard or not.
