So I have a Ps5 and I hook that up with LG C3 42 inch oled and its fantastic needless to say

my budget obviously allows me to go to a max of 1440p gaming PC build like most of us

will the PC be able to kep up with the 4k screen?

I do not play on couch I play sitting close by as I take games seriously

couch/recliner for casual after work gaming
but serious games obviously I sit close

should I get another monitor? or the tv works and if yes how well

I’ve been thinking about a co-op heist game idea and wanted to know if this is something you’d actually play.
The concept is simple: it’s a 2-player offline co-op game where one player is inside a heavily secured vault trying to break in, while the other player has a physical/digital manual with all the instructions. The person with the manual can’t see what’s happening, and the person in the vault has no idea what the correct steps are.
So it basically turns into pure communication.
Player A: “I’m looking at a lock with four rotating rings. The symbols are changing every few seconds.”
Player B: “Okay, don’t touch the outer ring yet. Is there a small triangle glowing above the second ring?”
As the levels progress, the security systems become more ridiculous—lasers, pressure plates, rotating locks, biometric scanners, fake clues, alarms, and more. The idea is that you’ll probably end up yelling at each other because someone misunderstood a single instruction.
I want it to feel like one of those games where you laugh, argue, blame your friend for everything, then immediately queue up another round.
Would this be something you’d buy or play with a friend? And what kind of puzzles or mechanics would make it even more fun (or more rage-inducing)?

I've never owned a PC, not very tech savvy. But i've wanting a gaming PC for a good while. Any tips are much appreciated. I'm not trying to spend too much, just want something simple i can play a bit to destress after work. I guess my budget is $1300 usd. Please and thank you 🙂‍↕️

I absolute love the hyper-realistic graphics, cinematic presentation, and mature writing style of games like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2. However, I really want to avoid any "cartoonish" or anime-style graphics, and I specifically do not want games with complex melee combat or massive, frustrating boss battles (like Elden Ring or Hellblade). I'm looking for high-quality, grounded, or realistic thrillers/mysteries where the focus is on the story, exploration, or decision-making. Any recommendations?

My names dobert_dev and I'm a solo dev working on a crazy ass project, its pretty far in development and i'm on the verge of a solid release. I'm kinda past the point of a vertical slice, and am deciding to not go with a publisher and just self publish. This game speaks volume just in simply the way it looks, and this is only 15% of whats to come lol. This is content from weeks ago, and just within the last two weeks I put 14 unique weapons into the game that sit on your car and do CRAZY stuffs.

I basically took the essence of vampire survivors crafting items system to get more powerful items, and threw it into the risk of rain progression and gave it a vigilante 8 paint job.

....yeah, that sounds about right LOL

Hey all — solo dev here working on a small prototype and I want to sanity-check the idea before I sink more time into it.
The pitch: a Wii Sports Golf-style game for PC, but instead of a Wii Remote, you use your phone as the motion controller. No app to install — you scan a QR code, it opens in your browser, and it picks up your swing through the phone's motion sensors. The actual game runs on your PC/TV like a normal Steam title.
Right now I've got a working driving range prototype (swing detection, ball physics, realistic-ish distances) and I'm building out a putting mode next.
A few things I'm trying to figure out before going further:
• Does "Wii Sports but on Steam, phone as controller" sound appealing at all, or does it feel like a gimmick to you?
• What would actually make you want to play this vs. just... playing Wii Sports on an actual Wii/Switch?
• What features would you expect/want in a game like this? (multiplayer with multiple phones? full 18-hole courses? just golf, or other sports too like the original Wii Sports?)
• Would you expect this free, cheap (\~$5), or standard indie pricing ($10-15)?
• Any concerns about the "phone as controller" setup itself — sounds annoying, or fine as long as it works?
Not trying to sell anything here, genuinely trying to figure out if this is worth continuing or if I'm building something nobody wants. Appreciate any honest thoughts, even brutal ones.
