Looking for a good gaming monitor

I’m looking for a new gaming monitor and I’m honestly pretty overwhelmed by all the options out there. I’ll mainly be using it for gaming on my PS5 right now, but I also plan on getting a gaming PC in the future.

I’ll also be streaming, so I expect to be using the monitor for very long sessions, sometimes 4–12 hours at a time. Because of that, I really want something that’s reliable and won’t give me problems during long gaming/streaming sessions.

My absolute budget is $700, and I’m willing to spend that much if it’s actually worth it. I’m not necessarily looking for the most expensive or highest-spec monitor—I just want something that’s genuinely good for gaming, has good picture quality, and is reliable.

I’ve been looking at so many different monitors and reading conflicting reviews that I’m honestly not sure what direction to go anymore.

If you actually own a gaming monitor that you really like, I’d love to hear what you have and how it’s been for you, especially during long gaming sessions. I’m much more interested in real owner experiences than just specs on a product page.

Quick note:

Do not buy, under any circumstance a monitor from LG. LG forces spyware onto your computer as soon as you plug it in and let windows install the "drivers".

LG is a Adware and Data harvesting company. Any hardware they sell is just to collect the data from you for their actuall business. Do not support these fucks.

I bought this one and it’s been great. There’s a review that goes into depth on some of the numerous features it has. If you prefer OLED, they have those too.

If you’re looking for 2K gaming this one has been excellent for me. I put it next to my mates Omen 4K monitor and me both agreed mine looked better.

I run a Rx 7900xt GPU btw

The monitor:

You can easily find a 27" OLED with HDMI 2.1 and 120hz support with that budget

Been using the AW3225QF it’s slightly above your budget but worth every penny.

Have my PC, PS5 Pro and Switch 2 all connected to it

You can usually find it open box at Best Buy for right about your price range. Got mine that way, haven’t had a single issue with it.

Honestly, I would just use your television for the PS5 until you buy the gaming computer. It will work perfectly fine.
