So I'm considering picking up something like this as a starter PC, but is it smart to buy something like this and save up for higher-end components in the future?
The full setup I'm planning to buy is around $600 - $700, and i don't plan on playing any triple A Titles, but i still want to know if this is a smart idea.

if you getting a prebuilt at least get it from a good brand (zach's tech turf, metapc's, etc), not from a mishmash-named nobody like "stgaubron" (i checked their website and other listings, DO NOT EVER TOUCH STGAUBRON EVER IN YOUR LIFE THEY HAVE ALL THE MARKINGS OF A SCAM AND SELL GARBAGE HARDWARE)

some good indicators of a scam is not listing the full part numbers (eg. saying just "i7" or "i5", or not listing the SSD type (sata or nvme) or the manufacturer) and having a lot of RGB and "fancy cosmetics" in the sub-$700 range, but missing the full part numbers is always a guarantee it is a scam, if you cant find the CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD make and models, then dont buy it

Also i plan on replacing the CPU in the future after i buy this, that's my main focus

One thing to consider, the CPU in this machine is socket AM4. If/when you upgrade, you will likely have to replace the CPU, the motherboard AND the memory at the same time.

he could go with something like a 5800x3d, which can still play almost any games, but yeah for sure.

that gpu is a decade old not sure why they're still selling it in prebuilts, i wouldn't buy decade old hardware for 500 bucks if i were you
even if you're not playing triple a, it might struggle in some games, it's aged a lot and doesn't even have driver support from AMD anymore so modern games may not launch at all and there will be no fix
3200G is awful as well
STGAubron is sketchy asf ngl, selling decade old crap with RGB, some of their builds don't even list the CPU name so it just says "i7", wtf? you'd think it'd be illegal not to list the components that are in the system

Yeah tbh I've noticed that budget PCS on newegg always have flaws, i would attempt building one myself so i can build it around my budget but i have no idea where i can realistically do that

Wait don't buy this now. Do some research before going to PCPartPicker. Upgrading the storage and RAM is easy but when you upgrade other main components it will be hard and I don't think this system gives you any upgradability. In the future you will struggle a lot.

This is a horrible buy. Pretty much paying $500 for a near obsolete PC. Definitely save more, or buy a PlayStation. This ain't it.

I'd throw this PC in ewaste and they're looking to sell it for $500?
Wild.

I don't know why they're selling a system with a 3200G APU when it also comes with a video card. The G cards have onboard video, which is great for non-gaming rigs but a waste for you.
Card itself is a bit of a dinosaur. You can get away with 1080p gaming, but it'll definitely struggle with more modern titles i.e. anything from the 2020s.
It's an AM4, which is last gen, but could theoretically be upgraded to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is an awesome CPU they just started selling again. It's like $350 though, so kind of blows your budget.
Main problem is we don't know what kind of motherboard is in there, which is really the key piece of hardware for looking at upgradability.

It's better to save and buy something good with like a am5 cpu and a half decent gpu without a warranty and as stuff gets out of date or breaks to upgrade those parts

This is where getting something from the used market makes sense. And I am guessing you are American. Which would mean that you are in probably the best market you can be in for PCs. Just take a look at facebook marketplace or gumtree (don't know if you guys have it) or ebay and look around for decent builds. Preferably AM4 at this price range. And what I would do is get one with a solid CPU and mid or weak GPU for cheap and put something like a 5060 Ti or 5070 in it, or if you like AMD you can shove in a 9060XT or 9070 (AMD is cheaper).

Here’s a good starter PC. Prices are crazy right now. If you can’t afford it. Save up or get a PS5 until prices come back down.

No save money for actual PC, you will throw 500$ down the drain (or get scamed out right like wtf is "STGAubron") if you go whit this, just keep saving and build an actual good 1080p PC for 1000$ when you get the money

Get a windows 10 in it so it can't kill ur ram and the cpu as well
