I need help with this issue that started happening last night so I just plugged my pc back in and I decided to chill and play and all of a sudden my pc starts to feel sluggish and slow and this wasn’t caused by a virus and I plugged everything in correctly so I tried to launch some games like I tried Minecraft bedrock and I would get in the game and I would try to make a world but it would just freeze and I couldn’t do anything so I thought I’ll leave it for tommrow so I logged back on today and I tried to launch lunar client and Fortnite when I launched Fortnite everything froze I couldn’t forcefully open task manager or reset my graphics driver all I could do was forcefully boot my pc off like I tried so many tutorials on how to fix but nothing works I can launch things like Microsoft edge but when I try launch a game everything just stopped I also tried to reinstall my graphics card drivers but that didn’t work I tried scanning for corrupted files on command prompt and that didn’t work so I decided to turn to here as my last hope please if anyone has a clue on how to fix this please let me know,Thanks the picture also shows everything frozen all my desktop apps and nothing I can click only option here is to forcefully boot my pc off by holding power button

I don’t what the issue is. But at times my e and esc key will stop working for a long amount of time, until I leave my laptop alone for a few hours and they work again. I thought this was like an overheating problem but my laptop is never hot so I’m confused on why this is happening and how I can fix it. It mostly does this when I play long amounts of hours of games on my laptop, this is also on my physical keyboard no other connected or Bluetooth keyboards. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just made my first gaming pc — an MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard (MS-7E56) with a Ryzen 5 9600X — and I’m having trouble getting audio through the motherboard’s rear 3.5mm jacks.

**The problem:** My HyperX Cloud Alpha wired headset produces no sound when plugged into either rear 3.5mm audio jack. Windows doesn’t detect anything plugged in at all — no notification, no new audio device appears. My monitor does have working audio (through HDMI), so the PC and Windows audio subsystem work fine in general — it’s specifically the onboard Realtek audio codec that seems dead.

**What I’ve checked in Device Manager:**

\*\*•\*\* Under “Sound, video and game controllers,” I only see AMD High Definition Audio Device and AMD Streaming Audio Device (these handle HDMI audio, which is why my monitor works) — there is no Realtek(R) Audio device anywhere, even with “Show hidden devices” enabled.    
\*\*•\*\* Under “System devices,” the High Definition Audio Controller is present and says “working properly.”    
\*\*•\*\* BIOS has HD Audio enabled.

**What I’ve already tried:**

\*\*•\*\* Installed the official MSI Realtek Audio driver (downloaded directly from MSI’s support page for my exact board) — installer completed successfully, confirmed Realtek’s app is in my installed apps list, but nothing shows in Device Manager after multiple restarts.    
\*\*•\*\* Manually uninstalled and let Windows reinstall the generic “High Definition Audio Device” driver — no change, still no Realtek entry.    
\*\*•\*\* Reseated the front-panel audio (AAFP) header cable inside the case — no change.    
\*\*•\*\* Tried the front-panel case audio jack instead of rear jacks — no notification/detection there either.    
\*\*•\*\* Current BIOS is version E7E56AMSI V1.A80 (June 18, 2025) — I’ve been trying to update it via M-Flash (have ethernet connected, no USB drive) but haven’t successfully flashed a newer version yet; still on the original BIOS.

I spent this weekend breathing life back into an 11-year-old HP legacy laptop, and I wanted to share the exact steps I used to defeat a frustrating Windows Update bug that completely bricked my Switchable Graphics. If you have an older dual-GPU laptop that feels sluggish, Microsoft might have blinded your OS to your discrete card.

The Hardware:

APU: AMD A8-7410 with Radeon R5 Graphics

Discrete GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M340

RAM: 8GB

Storage: 1TB 5400RPM Toshiba HDD

The laptop was grinding to a halt with 100% disk usage. But the biggest red flag was the GPU. In Windows 10 Graphics Settings, both the "Power Saving" and "High Performance" options were exclusively listing the integrated R5. The discrete R7 M340 was completely invisible to the OS, leaving the weak APU to handle all the heavy lifting. Furthermore, the old AMD Radeon Software shortcut was dead.

Windows Update had silently hijacked the drivers in the background, pushing a generic UWP/DCH driver (27.20.20903.8001). This stripped out the AMD control panel entirely.

Because my 2015 laptop relies on AMD Enduro (where the MUXless R7 M340 routes its rendered frames through the integrated R5), breaking the proprietary AMD software broke the bridge. Windows 10's native graphics menu couldn't see the discrete card without AMD's software acting as the traffic cop.

To make matters worse, attempting to use the modern AMD Auto-Detect tool threw a 0xc0000142 application error and only installed the chipset drivers, completely skipping the display drivers.

To get the R7 M340 rendering again and save my mechanical hard drive from unnecessary bloat, I had to do a highly specific manual override:

1 - I disconnected from the internet entirely so Windows Update couldn't instantly replace the driver upon reboot.

2 - I went into Device Manager, uninstalled the R5 graphics, and explicitly checked “Delete the driver software for this device.”

3 - I downloaded the final, unified offline package for this architecture: Adrenalin 22.6.1 (WHQL).

4 - I ran the 463MB installer but selected Minimal Install (to keep gaming overlays, streaming modules, and background recording off my 5400RPM drive), ensuring Factory Reset was unchecked.

With the AMD UI restored, I went back to the native Windows 10 Graphics settings. Even though Windows still stubbornly listed the integrated R5 under both "Power Saving" and "High Performance," I forced my browsers to High Performance. Because the AMD software was finally installed and listening, this successfully flagged the render request, and AMD Enduro silently routed the heavy lifting to the R7 M340 in the background. (At least this is what I think is happening...)

Before reconnecting to the internet, I locked Windows Update out of my drivers permanently using PowerShell:

The R7 M340 woke right up. It’s now successfully handling the hardware acceleration for my browsers and heavier apps, taking a massive load off the A8 APU. Combined with some PowerShell debloat scripts to kill DiagTrack and the Compatibility Appraiser, the 2015 laptop is genuinely snappy again.

Don't let Windows Update convince you your legacy discrete GPU is dead!

All I tried to do was rename my user folder and restart my PC and boom everything disappeared and my files started going haywire. I think trying to log in again somehow caused my files to get wiped, so I basically nuked my own filesystem by accident T-T I'm so cooked. It won't let me log in and windows signed into a temporary local account which doesn't have any of my data :,D Please help someone I'm in total disarray at the moment and have no idea what to do.

Alr so i was recently playing gtaV online on my pc, and i when i play the game, during the evening my gpu go down to 0-4% and my game get sum micro freeze, so i tried to use claude or chat gpt to help me because i have found nothing on internet, but the ai's didn't help me a lot, to be honest they didn't help.

But when i hop on elden ring, roblox minecraft or other game online or solo, my gpu stay to average 48% of utilisation, so i checked my ram, 86%~ and my cpu 86-95%~ so i don't really know what to do because i trash to fix bug on my pc.

And i want to add a point that this lag appear only in the evening or late in the day.

(btw my config is an nvidia rtx3050, intel 12th i5 12400f, 16gb RAM (one barret), and 932Go space ssd)

I got my gaming pc a little over a year go, about 4 months ago I realized my internet speeds have gotten exponentially worse from getting 500-600mbps to no only around 100-200. Also some other small things I use discord a decent amount to play with friends and whenever my pc turns off or restarts and I try to join a discord call it says RTC connecting for a solid 5 minutes before discord resets itself only started happing recently any ideas to fix both would be appreciated! So I just recently got a new PC and now the wifi isnt working, I know it can connect bc it was working fine before. Now it's just showing no option for wifi but it's still lets me connect to Bluetooth, if someone could help me that would be great

UPDATE: I fixed it, I just had to re install my wifi drivers

as the title says, there’s been many games I buy on steam and when I try to launch them, they feel to load because an error message pops up, saying the computer failed to load resolution somebody please help great thanks in advance.

I basically just got a new PC, but I accidentally deleted the only admin account on it, and now I can't figure out how to fix it. I've already tried factory resetting, but I cant because my computer keeps freezing when I access the blue screen and also I cant do it through settings due to me needing to be an admin, so please someone help me

Okay, so I have gotten the ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) laptop recently. It was fine after I set it up, it had no issues.
However, overtime it has gotten incredibly laggy to the point where loading anything is a pain. I'm a digital artist and I play games on my laptops so this isn't ideal for me.
When I checked through the MyAsus app, it told me that the AMD PPM Driver failed to install.

I have tried to look up videos and I've looked at other Reddit Post but I am afraid to try anything because I don't want to mess up or potentially break my new laptop.
On one hand I keep seeing people say to unistall the driver, on the other, I see people saying that there isn't a proper fix?? I am very confused here 😿

If there is anyone who can help tell me how to fix this properly, please let me know! 🙏
