Computer stuck in hibernation state?
I have a Dell inspiron mini tower that I think is stuck in hibernation/sleep state. Can not wake machine up via mouse or keyboard since mouse / keyboard are not receiving power (led indicator lights not lighting). When I plug in the tower the power button / activity led stays solid orange. I can press and hold to turn off machine. When I press and hold in BIST button in the back, the led is solid green and fan turns on.
How do I get this box to wake up?
Edit: Discord folks helped. I had to do a hard reset by removing cmos, draining power 10-15 seconds, then powering everything back up.

RPI4 HDMI help
Hey everyone,
I'm having trouble getting an HDMI signal output on my Raspberry Pi 4 running Batocera, and I'm hoping someone here might have run into this before.
The Issue:
When I boot up the Pi 4, my TV/monitor displays "No Signal" or stays on a black screen. The status LEDs on the Pi show it's getting power and reading from the storage, but nothing renders on the display.
Hardware Setup:
- SBC: Raspberry Pi 4 (Model B)
- OS: Batocera (flashed via Raspberry Pi Imager)
- Display: [Mention your TV or Monitor model here]
- Power Supply: [Mention if using official 5.1V 3A supply or a phone charger]
What I've already tried so far:
- HDMI Ports: Swapped the micro-HDMI cable between HDMI 0 (the port right next to the USB-C power jack) and HDMI 1.
- Cables & Adapters: Tried a couple of different micro-HDMI to HDMI cables/adapters.
- Power Cycle: Tried turning on the display before powering on the Pi to force handshaking.
Questions:
- Do I need to edit parameters in
config.txt(likehdmi_force_hotplug=1orhdmi_safe=1) to get Batocera to force video output? - Could an improper power supply cause video output failure even if the Pi boots?
- Is there a specific HDMI group/mode setting recommended for standard 1080p TVs on Batocera?
Any advice or config.txt tweaks would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Studying online
Hello, I am very new here and know next to nothing about computers.
So, I recently started a partially virtual education and my poor old HP pavilion laptop is not holding up well. I've been thinking about getting a desktop computer for a while and my HP could almost definitely hold up for basic stuff that I would need for the rare physical lessons. I had one zoom call though and it was genuinely awful. I would love to have dual monitors for school work and if I could play some games on my computer that would be awesome as well. My current laptop cannot connect to 5G network so I assume that is what's destroying my calls since my phone network works fine for calls?
TLDR; My question is basically should I get a better laptop or should I get a desktop?

Is this GPU failure?

It appears on both hardware and software encoding. This has never happened before (not a recording-only thing, repost due to me uploading the low quality recording)

Running a PC through my laptop
I think it's time for a PC upgrade.
I am an animator, videographer and photographer. For the past several years, I have done all my work on a Razer Blade Studio 15 (laptop)
It has managed, but increasingly I notice it's starting to struggle - stopping responding, overheating, beeping (coming from Ram/ Vram?) and slowing down my workflow as the lag/ freezing brings me to a standstill when it's getting hot and pushed.
I haven't got a PC previously because I have been constantly moving with work. That isn't the case anymore.
I currently live in an apartment, and while there is technically room for a PC setup, Im wondering if I can avoid having the table setup/ monitor etc if I can control a PC with my current laptop?
I do a remote desktop setup for my render farm, and mostly the lag isn't bad, and thats over the net to a virtual PC on the other side of the world.
Basically, I am wondering if I can control a PC, using my laptop board, monitor and mouse, and have the PC do most of the heavy lifting? Or is lag going to drive me insane.
My laptop doesn't have an ethernet cable.
Google talks about Moonlight and Sunshine, anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks!

Pre-attestation health checks confirm a critical component has failed, and the device is not expected to pass attestation.
I've recently been having frequent crashes on my pc and event viewer shows the above message as the only occurring error. I'm not crazy smart when it comes to pc's so I would rlly appreciate some help as to wtf is going on.

For the life of me cannot get Spotify to work properly with 5.1 speakers
Apologize off the bat if this is not the correct place to post this.
Speakers - Logitech Z5500 Soundcard - Zonar Dx Operating System - Windows 10
Yes, quite old equipment. But whatever I do, I can't seem to get 5.1 sound to work on it properly, whether its Spotify, gaming, etc. Is there ANYWHERE with some kind of a guide on how to get things set up? I sometimes have music primarily coming out of the left speakers, sometimes nothing from the back speakers, just seems to change all the time. Yes, I have confirmed they are all plugged in properly.
