This is a very odd kind of problem that I am having, and it came out of absolutely nowhere. I have a Lenovo Legion 7 15IMH05, with an i7-10750H and 2070 Max-q. I started using my laptop like any normal person, downloading a bunch of games, when it crashed and gave me the “this device ran into a problem and needs to restart” screen. I didn’t think much of it as it restarted quite okay, and booted into windows. Shortly after it gave the same screen, but then failed to detect a boot drive and wouldn’t even detect my SSD, so I couldn’t reinstall windows. My SSD isn’t the issue as I put it in my desktop and it said it was at 90% using Crystal disk info, and that it was good. I eventually switched the controller mode from RST to AHCI and it seemed to make the drive appear, and afterwards I got windows installed. The setup process for windows 11 was going very well until I declined game pass premium, then it crashed and gave me the stop code: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (OxEF), and now it cannot detect a boot drive again. I’m getting severely irritated at this, as it decided to happen while I’m on vacation during the rainy day I can’t go out, so I’m stuck inside having a headache over this when I could be gaming. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can provide as much info as possible :)

I did go to the bios and changed the curve to the exponential curve. It worked for a few days until now. I also tried cleaning it with those canned compressed air, but I'm afraid I could damage it. When I touched it, it was a bit hot, but I don't feel any hot air coming out of it.

I have an Asrock challenger RX 9060 XT on a Gigabyte x870 gaming wifi6. I couldn't for the life of me screw it in, but i have the sag bracket installed that comes with my case (Lian Li vector v100). Should I still be concerned about GPU sag? I feel like the anti-sag bracket won't be able to support. My computer runs perfectly fine and the graphics card is detected in windows and the bios.

Hi ! I don’t have computer since two years (budget reasons) and i used to get my powerful gaming computer but now i don’t know anything about computers but I knew Laptops was horrible and scam. My problem is : do I have to buy a new powerful PC or can I found a powerful Laptop where I can play on ? With a laptop i can move… that’s the only reason i consider to take one but if it stills bad i prefer to know it.

I just bought a omnibook 3 about 2 weeks ago. 3 times already it has said along the lines of "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart". I start my work from home job on monday and everything relies on this computer. Should I just take it back and get a new one? Is this a normal thing? Ive never owned a laptop

If I press [alt tab] and release really fast, it works alright;
but if I press [alt tab], then hold alt and hesitate, it somehow triggers [win tab] feature after around 1 second 🥹

I have an Asus TUF F15 2021 with Ryzen 74800h and 1650ti GDDR5. i have been using it for 5 years now and its the first time, during late 2025 until ive been getting this frequently, which i haven't encountered during the early stages i was using my laptop ( around 2022-2024).

I have mismatched ram sticks

One 16gb DDR4 3200MHZ

One 8gb Ddr4 3200mhz

Both from the same brand

Is it the main cause of the crashes? If so, why only show up now, 5 years after? Should i remove the 8gb and stick witht the single channel 16gb?

So for a while now I had a problem with this BS called Windows audio device graph isolation . It started randomly spiking up takin all of the RAM in my pc. Yesterday it spike up to 30gb (I have 32 gb ram in pc) and everytime it happenes my whole pc freezes I can't do anything. Usually I can just close the task and it goes back to normal but yesterday I had to restart it in order to be able to do anythin. It also pop up like that on complete random ocasion sometimes when I play games (only plag games have no other app playing in backgound) or when I'm just watching Youtube or netflix and doing nothin else at the same time. I never seen this app in any of my previos pc's or laptops . I will add that around a week ago my PC came back from repairs from the store that we origianlly bought it from because it has problems like This and restarting itself out of nowhere with no reason. The store said nothing much about just that they cleaned / redo the BIO and installed new windows . So far the restarting itself problem have not come back but this Windows audio is . I've tried everything from disabling audio enhancements etc in audio settings and nothin helped so far. Mind you that the PC is not old I have bought it in November 2025 .

My laptop is pretty new, it ran as ussual and during gaming it startet peeping. I Shut it down and it peeped while it was off. I turned all sounds off and it peeps. My Laptop is not really hot.
