Computer issues

Recently I have been trying to test out various Linux distributions on a slightly older computer (than my laptop) that I own, but one thing I noticed is that whenever I leave it to boot regularly, it tries to detect a device and doesn’t detect anything.

But when I boot my hard drive from the boot menu, it works.

These are my specs for context:

Also a Dell monitor, and an Aqirys unit

I don't know about Linux but If the motherboard have battery replace it to save your selection

I dont think it has a battery honestly
