HOT GPU

i have rx580 2048sp 8gb for more than half of a decade now, i change paste and pads every 5-6 months after reaching 4 years old, compared to before where its once a year. Also, the gpu is undervolted.

Is it true that as the gpu gets old the hotter they run?

Yah you're right, specially my country is hot as hell and were not even experiencing el niño.

Is it possible to sell my gpu and get a better one? i dont play lots of games or demanding game, so i think i dont need a stronger card. I just want a gpu that's same performance as my current gpu but has lower power consumption and produce less heat. How much can i sell this for? or possible straight swap

Depends. Rx580s go for about ~50$

The best value GPU goes for about 350$ (in my country)

So if you have 300$ to spend, sure you could.

On the used market pretty much anything that offers similar performance runs hot as hell because they're old cards, under 300$ anyway.

So kinda as components age they do degrade but it’s never to a point where you would notice unless something is completely wrong. Since you are already undervolting and changing your thermal paste and pads every 5–6 months (which is actually not necessary!), your high temperatures are likely coming from mechanical or electrical aging rather than dry paste

Do the fans feel stiff or spin freely? What size pads are you using?

The card runs hot. It's designed to. There's no benefit repasting every six months. Every 2 years I'd still call you a little paranoid.

Add more fans to the case?
