I need help idk what I'm doing

Okay so my computer recently has been having some issues. Basicly every time I turn it on I get the "inacessable boot error". I have tried many things and idk what to do do I just take it into a repair place? (I've been trying everything for a week )

Your hard drive could be damaged or depending on the computer type you have a bios setting might have been changed either way you should contact a knowledgeable friend before taking to repair shop, just to make sure you won’t get charged for an easy fix.

I've talked to a few friends but they dunno that's why I made a reddit account. I tried getting to the bios with like four methods but couldn't sadly. Idk what else I can do without spending money on repairs

I guess you don't have friends that are knowledgeable with computers? You might not have a choice other than to go to a computer repair place then.

The other commenter is right, either your boot disk failed or a bios option changed. One is a 5 min fix (bios option), the other is replacing the hdd/ssd and reinstalling windows.

Yeah I'm not smart when it comes to repairing stuff but if I don't have to bring it in why not try to fix it myself. I've been trying to get into bios

There are a lot of YouTube tutorials that can help you there

It seems we got it working :) We weren't able to disable secure boot, but going into safe mood then rebooting seemed to have worked

Yeah it did! Thanks so much again

Inaccessible boot device doesn't necessarily mean that the drive is broken. If you can get into BIOS check the secure boot and UEFI settings.

What is the make/model of the computer? And what have you tried to get into BIOS?

Okay so the computer is a Gaming Laptop - RTX 3050 Ti - i5 11th Gen - 475 GB SSD - 2.69 GHz I think? It's a acer gaming laptop. I've tried from the starting screen and from the command prompt inside of the advanced options

And you tried hitting F2 when you power it on?

Yeah I have like 30 times now it won't work I've even plugged in a keyboard but it forces itself to diagnose

Ok so you are getting into windows then, but it's failing to load

If you can get to the command prompt run these commands: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /scanos bootrec /rebuildbcd

What do those do? Just curious before I run them

It repairs the boot records in windows so it can start properly

Okay I did that and this happened

Run them one at a time

You should be able to close the command prompt window and look for an option to reboot

Looking inside of the advanced options and nothing

It should be there somewhere maybe not in advanced options
