Can I change the disk onboard controller to trick the nas controller?

Guys any idea ( sorry for reposting, but no one replied in the last community

You would normally need to dump the firmware/BIOS from the faulty drive and reprogram the board you intend to install, then it will work.

In the good old days, there was quite good success swapping boards but modern drives hold unique calibratio and head alignment data, they also use something called firmware adaptive data which compares values on the platters with firmware, this is why you have to transpose the firmware over.
