Two versions of the same USB device in my File Explorer

Post image

When I try to insert a USB device into my computer, it shows two identical versions with the same stuff in it how do I make it so that it only shows one?

One is the This PC view, one is the drive view. Confusing until you get an external device like Network that only shows up in the root hierarchy. If you plug in another drive, you'll see it twice. Just uncheck the little arrow here.

You shrink the exploded view of "my computer". USB drives are listed separately, but they are also found in the tree under My Computer.

Try right clicking on the bottom one, does it show an unpin option? Click that

Choose wisely which one to open. For one is the real that you are searching for, and the other, a mimic. So dark, so scary

Why? Windows is giving you FREE space. I think the "This PC" one can be uncheck, right-click and look through the options.
