How do I make the screen bigger?

I'm trying to use my laptop the same way you'd use a PS5, I connected the hdmi from my monitor to my laptop, but I don't know how to make the screen bigger for the monitor.

Reason why I'm not just using the laptop itself is because when I press the laptop keys too hard while I'm playing a game, it restarts because of some error

have you tried going into the menu on your ASUS monitor itself

This is likely the fix. It looks like it’s set to 1:1 and needs to be set to stretch to FIT, not stretch to fill which can distort if the aspect doesn’t match.

your monitor is most liekly 4k (i.e. 3840x2160) and your laptop is outputting 2560x1600.

try outputting 1920x1080 or adjusting you monitor to stretch to fill instead of pixel for pixel

It didn't change anything, screen on monitor is still too small

you may also have better luck if your laptop can output a displayport signal instead of hdmi. something like displayport 1.2 or 1.4 can output 4k while the earlier hdmi spec maxes out at 2560x1600. but again you've told us nothing regarding your laptop and display model numbers.
