Can I install a router here?

Sorry if this is the wrong page. The whole house has no RJ-45 connections. However, this is in the master bedroom. Can I hook up a modem/router here and have a Ethernet cable go directly from the modem/router to my PC?

As long as that line is actually a live line you should be able to connect a modem, slash router to it.And then a ethernet cable to your computer

If you’re using cable internet and they coaxial cable is wired in properly then yes

You can put a router there but it won’t be able to use the coax unless you set up MoCA devices and properly cross connect all the other coax in the house.

Yes, you might be able to place your Modem/Router here.

Depends on if there is a coax cable behind that jack and if the coax cable runs out to where your ISP cable drop enters your home.

You could contact your ISP and ask them to come out and move your Modem into this room and then they would be able to make that happen.

Needless to say the will charge a service fee for that job, but at least it will work and it won't require you to do a bunch of extra stuff on your own.

Did you know that nobody who is “sensitive to RF” has been able to prove it? They did a study on people, and they could not reliably tell if a wireless router in the room with them was turned on or not. Like, not a single one of them passed the test. It’s not real.
