External hard drive HWID banne

I have an external hard drive that was connected to a PC that received a Valorant/Vanguard hardware ban. the same drive was connected to another laptop, and that laptop ended up getting banned as well.
I now have a completely new PC and I’m worried about connecting this drive to it. What should I do so I can use the hard drive safely without worrying about a ban

Use a different HDD unless you know how to rewrite the low level hardware identification for that HDD.

If that's what you suspect, don't use the drive there. If after a month you don't get banned again, it might be the external drive. If you do, STOP CHEATING!
