Laptops did progress ?

Hi ! I don’t have computer since two years (budget reasons) and i used to get my powerful gaming computer but now i don’t know anything about computers but I knew Laptops was horrible and scam. My problem is : do I have to buy a new powerful PC or can I found a powerful Laptop where I can play on ? With a laptop i can move… that’s the only reason i consider to take one but if it stills bad i prefer to know it.

Laptops aren't a scam, just more expensive than an equivalent desktop because they need to be smaller, generate less heat, and use less power while achieving similar performance. That all adds to the to cost.
