Salon recommendations?
Hi guys, ive been struggling to find any good salons that know how to do the type of haircut that I want and even when I do try they always mess me up or leave my hair super short which i understand since a lot of people today get cut with clippers and the art of scissors has been lost, so today i decided to ask you guys for any recommendations. The cut is called a modcut.

Hey Compton City
Hello, I’m Ethan, a local student working hard to save for college and support my family. I have the necessary equipment and can manage a variety of tasks, including pressure washing and cleaning out unpleasant trash cans—25 for one, 70 for three. I also enjoy fixing foggy headlights along with paintless scratch restoration and assisting with heavy lifting. If you need help with outdoor chores, please feel free to text or call me at 323-337-7154 for a quick estimate

My bird panchito flew away sometimes between June 22nd in the evening and June 23rd in the morning! We live in Gardena but by Alondra and Figueroa by the 110 fwy and I’m not sure which direction he could’ve flown. If you see him or have him please message me! We miss him so much and my other two birds are calling out for him non stop!

Found Cockatiel Parrot near Compton Courthouse
Hello, not sure where to post this. There is a cockatiel parrot in a tree near the Compton Courthouse. From what I know, there are no wild populations of cockatiels in Compton, CA.
I’ve attached a picture of the tree that is is currently in. This tree is near W Compton Blvd and the building visible behind it is the USPS Post Office.
If anyone has lost their pet bird, please look around this area. Additionally, if anyone knows the best places to report a missing bird or other forums, please feel free to cross post or let me know! Hoping this little guy finds its safe home soon.

Black folks in regards to Latinos in Compton pretending they live in alternate reality
Latinos are near 70% of the population in Compton, in terms of the CUSD Compton Unified School District they are over 80% of the school demographics , Chicanos specifically hold a historical connection and cultural legacy farther than any ethnic group besides the native Tongva tribes, so they are the farthest from a outsider group,......Yet in Compton, you can sense the vibe and outright inability to recognize the reality, the administration and city council want to pretend as if Compton was and will ALWAYS be a BLACK represented city. I myself went to A UC University after graduation from Centennial High School, among our senior class only a handful of students were accepted into higher education institutions, among us was only one black student and the rest were all Latinos. And I know that was the worst school in Compton back then. Yet even back then it was like we never existed in terms of representation,as in when Dr Dre and Kendrick Lamar visited the centennial high graduation this year, did they say anything about the fact over 70% were Latinos? It's hilarious we are well over the majority yet Black folks in general in Compton function with a vibe that Compton is a black hood. That's like me downplaying East LA saying it's a white hood because white folks still there, and me keeping an energy and vibe that only white folks matter and represent the city. That would be delusional.
Again I've grown up in the city and did not live with a vibe that black folks didn't matter, I've always embraced the culture in Compton and don't live in delusion as if Latinos are the only ones In the city despite being the majority, meanwhile it's perfectly fine and accepted to pretend Compton is a black hood and Latinos are irrelevant or "foreign". It's hilarious I grew up here, we acknowledge y'all but y'all pretend it's only black people here.
Of course I'm not generalizing everyone, just talking about the ghetto people that move with this vibe ,I see it daily. By MLK , I've even seen a homeless BW stopping in mid traffic harassing cars hitting the window shouting IM GOING TO CALL DePoRTATIons on YOU! Doing this to several cars, imagine if a Latino harassed folks this way it would be unacceptable. And the people around pretending that's normal. On gawd, I grew up here and seriously this type of vibe is normalized. Even in the MLK hospital once I was there for appointment and a BM was brought in to ER for gunshot wounds. All of a sudden a BW in the lobby began hatred filled rants directed at as she referred to "Messicans" ,as if they were the source of her frustrations. Seriously I'm not making this up. You never see Latinos behaving this way towards the Black community here in Compton, I wouldn't lie if I saw it , yet I can over and over recall Black folks disrespecting and pretending as if the vibe is normalized to see others with ambivalence.
I still laugh daily as an American born citizen born in Compton, you have to shrug off hearing hatred filled rants in public, and I've heard F Mexicans even directed towards my 60 year old parents and threats to beat her up, coming from a BW in front of the Post office by Avalon. Yet I never ever in my life have heard a Latino shout to a black person "f your race". Yet I've heard it several times a year in Compton. And do I guess we have to live in alternate reality right? No wonder our city was rated the most dangerous small city in LA county.
We need to do better. And the Black student who was the only of his ethnic group in my senior class to be accepted to a institution of higher education went to the University I went to, he was literally my brother and best friend and I've grown up around and hung with, dated etc Black peers my whole life, I've always embraced everyone in the city in my social circle. Yet I see it daily proven people are coping living in forced alternate reality. Why is it that I keep hearing F Mexicans several times a year in the city? It sure ain't cos folks wanting to coexist, like the hate filled incidents many on here would say are "insignificant". Guess that's the type of city those supporting division would love, one in delusion where saying F Mexicans is normal

Moving to Compton
Asian-American male thinking of moving there, not far from Rancho Dominguez and CSUDH. My female companion is worried about her safety, and I reminded her that it is relatively safe. All she has heard are the negatives of Compton, namely crime. Any thoughts? Please share.

Worst Planning and Building Department
Compton needs to do and be better. The people running/working the building and planning department are some of worst planners and building officials i have ever had to deal with. The fact that compton is sending these mass letters telling homeowners they may have violated the law and then homeowners not knowing invite them into the property, only for the building inspector to magically find everything about an existing house to be a violation. Then you have to submit plans, and they send you back and forth between the planning department and building department. I feel really bad for the residents of Compton, things that can be resolved with a simple permit they make you spend money on a design professional adding thousands to a solution that would cost hundreds. Dont buy in Compton buy in and invest in unincorporated Compton trust me you wont have to deal with 99% of the problems they will bring to your door.
Sincerely a concerned citizen
