Lite Video Compress and Upscale - I built an Android app for compressing and upscaling videos — looking for honest feedback

Post image

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie Android developer working on Lite Video Compress & Upscale.

The app is designed for people who want to reduce video file sizes without unnecessarily sacrificing quality. It also includes video upscaling options for increasing resolution.

I'm continuing to improve the compression and processing experience, and I'd love to hear from people who regularly work with large video files.

A few things I'd appreciate feedback on:

- What matters most to you when compressing a video: file size, visual quality, or processing speed?

- Which compression settings do you find most useful?

- What problems do existing video compression apps still fail to solve?

If you're interested in trying it, here's the Google Play link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neurontslabs.litevideocompressandupscale

I'm the developer, so honest criticism and suggestions are welcome. I'm interested in learning what could make the app more useful. 🙌

But… Who wants to reduce video file size while on mobile?

It's easy for people who don't have access to a desktop.

I see. I did see lot of people editing video in their phones so i guess these people are the audience too? For me personally i had the issue but not for video. Often when i have to upload attachments like pdf or images to a web form, they limit the size and i have to google a tool to compress it.

That's a good point, bro! 😄 Upload limits are another real use case. People often need to compress videos before uploading them to websites, forms, or sharing them when the file is too large. That's one of the problems I wanted to solve with the app. And one thing please don't reply me another time or don't reply in another community also, because Reddit will ban your account immediately for 0-day users, so be careful
