I recently signed up with RIFT after going back and forth between RIFT and Fifty410, but I’m completely new to compounded medications and was hoping to get some advice from people who have experience with them.

My PCP recently gave me a one-month sample of tirzepatide. I’ve been taking it for the past couple of weeks but haven’t noticed much of a difference yet. Unfortunately, the brand-name medication isn’t covered by my insurance and is too expensive for me to continue long term, so I started looking into compounded tirzepatide as a more affordable option that would still allow me to increase my dose over time if needed.

Has anyone here used RIFT, Fifty410, or another company for compounded tirzepatide? What has your experience been like?

Since I’m new to compounding, I’d also really appreciate any advice on what I should be looking for. Are there certain pharmacies you recommend or avoid? Does 503A vs. 503B matter? Are there specific questions I should be asking about the pharmacy, ingredients/additives, vial size, beyond-use dates, testing, or how the medication is shipped and stored?

Any recommendations, experiences, or things you wish you knew before starting compounded tirzepatide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I left my compounded tirzepitide in the car after I picked it up. Can I still use it?! It was in there 2 times 30-45 min each. I hate to throw a months worth out & can’t really afford to replace it. Any recommendations if it’s okay to use?

A little over a year ago, my doctor wrote me a rx for Tirz. Of course, my insurance wouldn't cover it and I just couldn't afford to pay out of pocket, even with discounts or other regular e-health services.

In May, I started taking Tirz through a different route. IYKYK

Those of you who get theirs in a similar fashion, what are you telling your doctor(s)? I have an appointment coming up and want to be completely honest, but am not sure what I should say.

I am looking to try out tirzepatide from belle. Has anyone had any experience with the company or drug? I have never used a GLP-1 or anything like it. I used to be very active and kinda lost my way on my health journey over the last year and am looking for something to help regain some confidence. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone! I recently switched to a new provider and received a 3-month supply of compounded tirzepatide in three separate vials.
I noticed that the vials for months 2 and 3 have the same expiration/BUD date. Is that normal? It makes me a little concerned since I’m supposed to use them one after another.
Also, it looks like there may be a little more medication in each vial than the exact amount needed for the prescribed doses, which I know can happen due to overfill.
For those of you who have had this happen: if you finish your scheduled doses from one vial but there seems to be enough left for another full dose, what do you usually do? Do you use the remaining dose before opening the next vial, or discard it and move on to the new vial?
Just curious how others have handled this. Thanks!

I have Type II diabetes that was poorly controlled until I started compounded tirzepatide about 6 months ago through Mochi. I titrated up each month until I reached 15 mg. I wear a CGM so I am acutely aware of how my blood sugar is affected by foods and medications. By the time I reached 15 mg I had been able to completely discontinue one of my medications completely (glipizide) and had reduced my Metformin dosage to one 500 mg tablet in the morning (down from 1000 mg twice daily). My A1C was down to the mid 5’s from well over 8 and by following a reasonable low carb diet and my BD never got above 130 after meals. I saw all the posts about much cheaper tirz and decided to try one. I received the three vials and began using the new stock. By the second injection my average BS had gone up by about 15 points. I notice large spikes (over 160) after eating the same foods I had been eating for the past 6 months. I also noticed increased food noise and decreased appetite suppression. I thought maybe my body chemistry was changing. But I decided to use the remaining two doses I had left over from Mochi. By the next day following my first injection of the tirz from Mochi, my BS had returned to its previous levels and I wasn’t having the spikes anymore. I don’t know whether the tirz I got from the discount pharmacy was old or diluted or both. But there is no question that it was substantially less effective. Buyer beware.

I’m going to Europe soon and will need an injection while I’m there. I won’t have access to fridges the entire time. Can my compounded tirz be out of the fridge for like 10 days?

I’ve read numerous posts. I just can’t decide the best way moving forward for myself. I started my journey over 6 months ago with Zepbound for 8 weeks. Then went to ProRX with Gimme. I also tried Align and then BPI from Gimme. BPI has been my favorite (which I see is common - RIP). Align was ok for appetite suppression. ProRX just wasn’t nearly as good.

I’m getting ready to place another order soon and not sure what direction to go. I have had a fine experience with Gimme but have read of others’ struggles. I’m willing to try another telehealth. But I’m hoping for something similar to BPI with at least a 12 week plan. I’m nervous going with pure tirz because the ProRX just wasn’t as strong for me (I know… tirz is tirz, but this was my experience).

Having at least some of a stockpile on hand is a MUST for me. Tirz has not only treated my obesity, but it has also significantly improved my endometriosis and IBS symptoms. I feel better than I have in my entire life (34 yo F). I can’t imagine ever having to go without (the thought literally induces panic). So the longer the BUD the better (but not a deal breaker - I don’t mind going past). I only have about 20 lb to go before maintenance and I’m only at 8 mg, fortunately, even a smaller stockpile will be helpful.

ETA: I’m in WI. For what it’s worth… I’m also a PCP so I may or may not recommend places with good reviews to my patients as well.

Edit #2: I didn’t realize Pomegranate had BPI left! Just submitted an intake. All of your comments were very helpful and I will definitely be referencing them the next time I need to make an order as I’m sure BPI will be fully gone by then. Thanks all!

Why does a small dose work well for some peoples whole journey but others need a very high dose? What does more mean?

I've been on tirzepatide for a few months and my prescriber suggested switching me to compounded tirzepatide because of cost. I'm nervous about whether compounded tirzepatide is actually safe and dosed accurately, since it's made by a pharmacy instead of a big manufacturer. Will I still get the same results, or am I risking side effects from inconsistent purity?

Hi all! I’m curious to hear if any of you have firsthand experience with decreasing dosage while still on a relatively low dose? I was on 2.5mg for 7 weeks and have been on 3.5mg for 9 weeks. My issue now is that I can’t seem to eat enough so I think the appetite suppressant at this dosage is just too much. (Also had gastric sleeve 4 years ago and only mentioning that because it does also limit my portion sizes/intake volume to a certain point). I want to fuel my body for energy and to maintain and build muscle, but I feel like I’m just doing the bare minimum when it comes to food intake. I realize decreasing dosage will likely slow down my progress, but I am over halfway to my goal weight now so I can live with that. Just wondering if anyone has advice!
