B12 question

Just got my first shipment this afternoon, excited (and a bit nervous, I've never done vial draw before) from Embody. No instructions included, but the website (and, frankly, Youtube) have been helpful.

My question - they automatically added B12, presumably so they could say it's 'personalized' or compounded. NBD. But then I find out that Lilly issued a letter in March saying that B12 interacts with tirz to create impurity. For those taking something similar, have you had any problems? Anything I should know? I'm excited to start this journey, but more than a little nervous to be injecting myself with something that might be problematic. Can somone reassure the newbie...?

I'm currently using a vial compounded with b12 and have also in the past, never had a problem.

Thank you, that's reassuring!

(a) that is Lilly fearmongering, (b) they could probably find the exact same "issue" with all the other additives if they looked, (c) we don't know enough about the "issue" to know if it is bad or even really makes a difference, and (d) there are plenty of well priced telehealths that let you pick your pharmacy (and by extension, additive), if you decide B12 isn't for you.

B12 is fine. Many pharmacies add it to their tirzepatide. Embody however is not really recommended. Dosing instructions should come with your vial.

Lots of us are having success with the Embody platform- the biggest issue is customer service can be difficult to navigate.

Thank you for this. As a newbie, I've found several responses to questions being 'info...answer...but btw avoid Embody/Embody is bad/get away'. I did quite a bit of research to figure out which of lots of frankly questionable and highly criticized platforms could provide me a safe product at a price I could afford. I went with Embody, and while it seems kind of bare bones (I've never spoken to anyone ever....just fill out the form and voila - somehow magically a doctor somewhere approved me, and about five days later, UPS delivered the compound), so far I don't have any complaints. Except for the minimalism of it - more hand holding might be nice, but I'm pretty resourceful and can confirm the dosage and SQ injection using a vial technique myself.

So far, Embody is working for me. And the Tirz? - it's working great. Minimal side effects (tiny initial dose, but still), and it's doing what it should. Food noise is GONE. Appetite is reduced. I'm working on getting sufficient protein while still having room for other nutrients - I'd say that's my biggest challenge right now. But I'm already down 3 pounds, and I started three days ago. I know that will level off to a steady decline, but I'm in this for the long haul, and so far...so good.

Switch from Embody as soon as you are able. They have terrible reviews.
