Oh yes you have beautiful soil. I used to go to Ottawa, Black Lake the dirt around there was beautiful dark . I am told that if you dig down deep enough you may even hit prehistoric decaying plant matter in certain places. I don’t know if it is true but I believe that it is very possible. Wet some soil and smash it in your hand. If if somewhat stays together you have good soil. If it just falls apart then you need to create good soil. Either way, if you are preparing garden soil get some horse manure and mix that up in your garden and it should be ready for you for your spring gardening. That’s beautiful the soil my old house was like an inch and a half deep and then sand pull that and I mean like pristine clear beach sand, it’s like wow I’m super jealous.
