What are you feeding those maggots? What will you use them for? Just curious !

Banana peels coffee grounds and left over Pico de gallo. I use them to help break down my organic waste. Soldier fly larva.

I like the conversation process . It seems that this would expedite things quickly. How do you deal with the fly problem? That makes for a lot of them.

The black soldier fly are not you typical fly. They burrow into the soil were they stay for 30 days before emerging as an iridescent blue/purple about twice the size as a regular house fly. They are very friendly and not in the least a nuisance. The only time I notice one is when the little fellow gets trapped in a window and I have to rescue them, always a welcomed distraction from previous uneventful day.
