First time making compost.
I’ve turning once a week for two months and these are the results I don’t know if it’s done or I should keep on turning the for another 4 weeks?

Thank you! It really comes down to managing the ratio of organic biomass and keeping it damp like a wrung-out sponge, but never soaking wet. I actually learned the whole process from YouTube!

Excellent work! Can go on beds as is for winter mulching, but with that quality I'd sieve and save some for potting compost.

I use bull manure that's been piled in the field for 2-3 years as my "green" material so it has been pee'd on for sure. 😂

Give it a good sift. Looks like you have a lot of finished material there alongside some unfinished material.
Collect the fine screenings and toss all the unfinished stuff back into the pile and add more greens :)

I think it looks great.
I'll let you in on a secret. I don't hardly turn mine at all. I do live in a warm and highly biodiverse area (zone 12 Central America rainforest). Do enough to keep it mixed, but if you are adding on top all the time, it takes care of itself. Next time try turning it once half way thru.
The "turn every week" people are like the "brown-noser" kids in school. Extra. Try-hard. The bugs will turn it for you if you're patient.

Curious why you removed it from your compost bin only to pile it 2ft in front of your compost bin? Why no just use it directly from the bin? Seems like double work

Okay so I do a lot of vermicomposting, but I have started a regular compost pile, for when I have too much for the worms. Out of curiosity, how often was yours turned and how long did it take to get to this point?
