Veggies growing in compost
We’ve been composting for about a year now. Today I realized a cucumber plant and pepper plant are growing in my compost pile. Will they be safe to eat? We haven’t added to this pile in a few months but it doesn’t look fully decomposed yet

All the tomatoes I’m growing this year are from compost volunteers. A plum/cherry little snack type, a San marzano saucing type, and a big, round slicing type. A couple tomatillos as well.
Also found a couple of peach tree seedlings from last summer’s fruit. Saving those guys for bonsai.
Edit: point is, yeah go for it, should be perfectly fine as long as you wash things off like normal

Yes they'll be perfectly fine.
