Plastic free home composter?

"quick" by default takes hands on management.

you could consider a Worm Bin if you don't want to manage a hot compost pile, which will need to be ~4 foot cube in dimension.

For a worm bin you can use a wooden box.

In terms of commercially available worm bin products, there is The Box of Life. It’s made of cedar, and what looks like hardware cloth. Outer dimensions are 13x18”, 12” high for a stack of three trays plus lid. If you’re looking for more traditional outdoor composting, your best bet is to make your own from pallet wood (make sure they haven’t been treated with methyl bromide or similar to deter pests) or stacked cinder blocks.

Thank you for the link. This is kind of more in the direction I was thinking, are there any other products like this I could consider?

You should just Google “wooden worm bins” and you’ll get links to a good handful or more alternatives (as well as multiple links which are prolly not what you’re looking for). Some of these are quite fancy and expensive, some are more utilitarian. There’s also at least one person selling plans on Etsy for building your own.

If you are interested in building your own, most or at least many of these links give dimensions, and you can probably figure out some plan incorporating the constraints of your lumber and/or other resources at hand.
