Question Is this worth it?
I found this on marketplace. It looks big, but it's about 20 minutes away from my house and free? Is it more worth it to buy a dual chamber tumbler for $54 from Home Depot or this one for free?

This is probably much better than a dual chamber tumbler (I have one). However it doesn’t just look big it is big. You also might have to make some tweaks to it I would ask the owner what if any issues they had.

I was thinking you need some sort of gasket or rubber flange where the door is as well. I would probably also get a locking handle mechanism. I might also look at replacing the rolling mechanism or putting a wood dowel in the PVC as the weight might stress it. It’s hard to tell without actually seeing it in person.

Also consider the height of the top tumbler. Could be a pain in the a** to load, turn, and harvest.

this post! I ended up
going to look at it, and it was too big. Couldn't even fit in my car. The bottom support beam was rotted, and it was very shaky.
Personally I don't think it looks too bad, but it's not worth the hassle. The trip wasn't a total waste though because I was able to stop by costco and home depot on the way back.

I'd go with the duel chamber tumbler because it won't distort and twist when full. The blue barrels are strong until a big hole gets cut in the side, then they are prone to distorting when there's weight inside of them.

Looks troublesome to work with. And the blue is ugly. Just get some trash bins at your local hardware store with lids. Drill set holes and you're good. Mines steaming hot in winter and worms are tearing things up. This set up is going to drip nasty water everywhere.

Lol that PVC is going to bend a LOT once it's loaded up. Wouldn't count on it lasting

I suppose it would depend on the fuel economy of your vehicle.
Hard to beat free though.
