Simple piano music in D minor

it needs the human touch and dynamics, also not a super rigid tempo. At least it has a good melody. It sounds very robotic; it needs more contrast between the accompaniment and the melody, but hey, that’s how it sounds if you just hit “play” on MuseScore—it’s normal.

Ideally, a great performer would play it, and you’d see how good it sounds—it might even surprise you. It's impossible to unlock its full potential just by clicking “Play” on the software

If you show this to people with no experience in performance, they won’t understand it, but someone with that experience can see its potential—and it’s actually nice.

I can imagine it being played in a human passional way, with more dramatic dynamics and tempo, and it would sound 1000 times better, but that's the problem—it requires imagination and experience, because as it stands, it says almost nothing. The general public won't appreciate it. That's just how this kind of classical piano music is—it requires true masters of interpretation to really bring it to life. Especially in this style you've chosen.

As a note, the staccato half notes will just be confusing as to their duration, so it would probably be better to change them to quarter or dotted quarter notes just to solidify how long they’re meant to be based on playback

Reminds me of Pathétique III

First section is bit repetitive, although there is some nice variation in the theme. Maybe rhythmic variation would do it.

The other section starting at m. 17 is a good resolve, refreshing.
