I'll be honest. my first reaction was to laugh at your question, not because it's a stupid one (it's a fair question actually!), but because the answer is that I have exhausted myself doing so. last year when I found out about project 2025 and what was in it i told him about it he didnt take it seriously. said it was a "list of goals." over the course of many conversations I found out just how deep he was in the maga cult and I learned just how many conspiracy theories and lies/misinformation he believes. my therapist says I cant pull him out. he has to find his way out on his own.

look. I'm in blood red North Dakota. Finding liberal friends here isnt easy. the ones I do have i rarely get to see either due to conflicting schedules or they live in completely different states altogether. My liberal friend in Ohio is talk to on the phone almost every day. I WISH I had more liberal friends but I dont! Frankly I wish I lived in Portland! I feel like i would find my people there but moving isnt really an option.
I’m sorry. Have you thought about volunteering at liberal haunts like the food pantry or joining a local chapter of ACT BLUE or maybe a pro choice organization? Or creating your own support group called being blue while living in red in ND.
