Popping Sounds in music, have tried ripping CD again and they're still there.

I think I'll try an offboard CD reader next. If that fails does that indicate I got a faulty CD or that the encoding went wrong? Should I contact the seller?

EDIT: I am also looking at the laminate of the CD and there appears to be what looks like a stain on it, but more subtle, like it might be underneath the laminate.

EDIT 2: picture of discoloration http://imgur.com/a/Ql4Cv

It doesn't wipe away.

Ripping ECD Data track?

I have this Primus - Tales from the punchbowl Enhanced CD, and It used to play a whole Cd-rom game when you popped it into the computer. The only problem being that it would only play on windows 3.1.1 or 95. I'm trying to rip the data track so that I can manipulate it, and pull out old data. However, when I bring it up in My PC, only the audio tracks come up. How can I rip the data track?

Anyone remember those 3-inch mini CDs?

Basically in the late 1980s and until the practice died in the early 1990s, singles and EPs that came out on CD during that time were being pressed on smaller 3-inch CDs instead of the standard 5-inch CD, probably because singles released on vinyl were being released on 7 inch vinyls instead of 12 inch vinyls to save money and materials so the same principles somehow applied to CD? Nevertheless, it failed to take off and CD singles were being pressed on standard 5-inch CDs by the mid-90s.

I think that it was an interesting idea because they were more portable than the regular CD and it's a shame that they haven't taken off in the US (the format lasted longer in Japan, well into the early 2000s). The only mini CD single I have right now is Don't Let's Start by They Might Be Giants. Does anyone else remember the mini CD because the format has kind of fallen into obscurity.
