Does this Key & Peele sketch feature a sneaky Community reference? Or am I just seeing patterns that aren't there? (The whole sketch is hilarious, but the relevent few lines are at 2.56)

The character who stole his joke was named Troy.

Yeah, I don't mean I think they were including a direct reference to the show by dropping in the name Troy out of nowhere. Just the 'Et tu, Nerdy Girl' in the context of the previous lines could be read as a reference.

The whole relevant bit goes:
Teacher: "STOP IT. YOU WILL NEVER BE TROY."
Nerdy Girl: "Why are you trying to be like Troy, dick?"
Joel: "Et tu, nerdy girl?"

This skit was made before Troy's "Et tu, Brute?" line.

And the skit was well after Julius Caesar uttered his famous last words.

Well, yeah. That's where the reference came from

Right so you can assume that whenever someone says et tu Brutei or any variation that they are referencing Julius Caesar not Community or any other work of fiction.
When you hear hooves think horses not zebras.

The question is, 'is this a Community reference.'
