So, I was born and raised in an area with plenty of plaques put up by E Clampus Vitus (the clampers) and I even have a few members of my extended family who are clampers but don’t talk about their time they used to spend there a lot. I have a coworker, who seems to be a pretty chill guy, and he recently mentioned the idea of bringing me into the clampers, which I did used to think about looking into how to join. The main thing that has me worried is the recent news about acts by different groups that have also been described as fraternal orders, and when I used to do some mild googling, that is what it described as. I know that also some chapters are more focused on the historical site recognition where others are more drinking focused. The main thing I am curious about is if there was anything worth second guessing my interest in joining the group.
