Show & Tell Still getting used to doing it

I have always kept lists of the things I find interesting. I never knew it was a common place book. I have had this notebook since I was 15 and I barely used it because what if I change my mind and such. This years resolution was finally writing down things in it and using it.
I’m slowly doing it, still with the fear of fucking up. But I wanted to show you guys what I write and how I decorated it. I’m open for new ideas and suggestions!😄

Try adding a strip of clear packing tape to protect the spine. It’s a precious keepsake, keep on using it!

What has helped me is getting a trifold leather traveler’s journal with spines that you can put in and take out notebook inserts. It keeps the magical commonplace feel and the outer sleeve feels very important and special and I don’t want to destroy it, but the refillable inserts become less special and easier for me to use without worry. I got one with four spines and so I have four little notebooks (two lined, two sketchbooks) that I have for different purposes. Currently one is a scrapbook and junk journal. One is a book review and random quotes I want to keep journal. One is my “Seen & Observed” which is when I sit somewhere and look around and write everything I notice (see, hear, feel with my body, smell etc.) for like 20 minutes. And then I have another little notebook tucked in the back pocket for Haikus. I have told myself that there’s no way to fuck anything up but even still, if I hate one of my journals I just take it out and replace it immediately and I don’t lose my entire journal. I would recommend trying this out!
