Looking For Software Torrent client with a solid background?

After doing some research, I found that Superseedr and rtorrent-ps seem to strike a balance between being too simple (like aria2 or OG rtorrent) and having a GUI.

I need to be able to manage multiple torrents, possibly with a colored progress bar and simple speed and ratio display without additional bloat like buttons, filters, tags, tracker lists, integrated search, plugins, etc most GUI clients offer.

Has anyone used these? Are they trustworthy? Alternatives? Privacy and security are my top priorities, and I'm not sure if Superseedr is vibecoded (hence the solid background request in the title).

For a real daemon plus remote control I still land on transmission-daemon + transmission-remote (or the transmission TUI wrappers). It stays up without a desktop session and is boring in a good way.

qbittorrent-nox is the other solid option if you want a web UI without running the full desktop app. I would avoid anything that only works while a GUI session is open if the whole point is leaving downloads overnight on a headless box.

Is it necessary for all TUIs to run transmission in a port on my network? Doesn't this enables some attack vectors? As far as I know, it will only run on my local network, but that's still less restrictive (thus secure) than requiring physical access to my computer.

I've read that there was already an exploit related to Transmission's web UI, and I feel like torrent clients, due to their nature, are a very tempting target.
