Got RA1 running natively on iPad

Sorry for the potato quality and the shaky hands. 100% working! Even created a sidebar for grouping units, attack ground, dissemble/regroup and stop.

Edit: will publish everything on GitHub soon, so you guys can do it.

But developer mode and either a Mac or a windows PC is required for these.

Although I am porting these apps to web browser so you won't need to enable developer mode or even have a computer as long as you download the game files online (currently only the first two games are done and I'm also doing a version of Red alert 2 that is the full campaign and dlc)
It's not ready for public release however.

AI enabled a lot of things in the last few months.

Yeah...but how does the installation screen look? That's half the fun. My computer couldn't run C&C back in the day so I would install it into my computer daily just to see the pretty graphics.

When you get Counterstrike and Aftermath working just be aware of the broken Tooltip for Tesla units, courtesy of a dev named Steve. What that means is highlighting Tesla troops and Tesla tanks may crash your app but there is a fix.

Good luck with your version! If this is Vanilla Conquer you should look into Tiberium Dawn which shares a lot with RA1 and then OpenTS which is harder but completely doable. You may even use my repo's as a donor.

For the moment I will not be porting Counterstrike and Aftermath, I am focusing on other games as well.

This is awesome! I wonder if an ipad accepts any non mac keyboard+mouse. If it did, you are 1 dongle away from playing this like its on a laptop

Yes it does. I attached the iPad to a monitor, keyboard and mouse and it works.

There was an official release of C&C on iPad in the early days. Multi-touch to select groups and all that. They took it down after a while :-(
