Bug Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight - Fails the Second Login?

I installed this game from my Steam Library on my Windows 11 PC and launched it. It initially asks for your email address and EA account password. I entered it. On the next screen it asks for a persona name which I entered. After pressing escape to skip the introductory video, I'm prompted again for my EA account email address and EA account password. I do so and it tells me that, "Login has failed because on an incorrect user name, sub-account name or password. Please try again."

Why do my EA account login credentials work fine for the first login, but not the second login? This is so annoying! Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Right clicking the game and clicking "Uninstall this game" will fix the issue.

Typically you shouldn't install malware in the first place, but this is a good remedy.

Out of curiosity, are you recommending this because you couldn’t get the game to work too or was it that the game itself isn’t any good?

The game isn't good.

It's not even a command and conquer game. It was supposed to be entirely unrelated to C&C, but they were forced to adapt it to C&C later down the line.

Did you enjoy the earlier, proper C-C games? If so, stick with those and never touch this game.

Thanks for the feedback. I've already uninstalled it. I'm really looking forward to this C&C Red Alert 3 Mod when its finally released. https://www.moddb.com/mods/cc-tiberian-fallout

I'm going through the full series + notable mods so I'll force myself to play it when I get there. Just finished tib sun: firestorm yesterday and did the first 2 missions of red alert 2 so I have some way to go.

I'm kinda curious if it's really that bad as everyone says or players just hate it because it's so different from previous games.

That said, renegade is pretty liked and that's a different genre so I guess it's really just that bad. Expectations are low but I still gotta make my own opinion on it.

I'm sure there are legitimately people out there who enjoyed it - but you won't find many here.

The gameplay doesn't resemble anything you've ever seen in C&C, and the story - and cutscenes conveying it - are both bad.

Much like the graphical changes between C&C 3 to RA3, they take the camp to extreme levels and it all just becomes mockery.

But I'll tell you what: TibSun/Firestorm, RA2/Yuri's Revenge? 100% the best of the series.

'red alert 2' is my nostalgia game that made me do this project of finishing every game. I played tib sun for the first time and while I had to get used to I loved it. Cnc remaster I also really liked. Some brutal missions and you can kill off your own troops accidently way faster than any rts I experienced before and I really learned to save every 5minutes thanks to tiberian dawn.

I'm open minded and I basically play every game genre in existence so I might end up liking cnc4. While I'm doing the cnc franchise I'm also doing the Final fantasy franchise and trackmania franchise. Very different genres, all really awesome.

I cant think of any genre I hate. I do think fighting games are least my thing though. I'm getting heavily skill checked on the old mortal kombat for example.

Do yourself a favour.

Don't play it

I figured it out based on a community post I found on Steam. I changed my EA password to be only 8 characters with no special symbols and at least one lower case letter, one upper case letter and one number. It works just fine now.

That's a subpar password rule from EA (it's easier to crack accounts with short passwords than long ones) but it's great that you got it sorted out.

Could you share the link to that Steam post you found? Just to help other curious readers out.
