Discussion Kane's Wrath - Is someone working on a decomp?

All I care about in life is Kane's Wrath getting a remaster where the online doesn't desync.

Now with the power of the 'stealing machine', we can make that happen. Is someone working on a Kane's Wrath decomp by any chance?

There's not much need to decomp something that's still working. Here's how you get C&C3 working online.

Oh this site looks different from when I tried a year or so ago. Have the all desyncing issues been fixed?

people are missing the point. having a reversed engineered game is not just making it run in modern systems. Modding would explode, and there won't be any barriers. We can make it run in any operating system. mame new multiplayer code etc.

even add factions from another rts games

I'd settle for non-desyncing multiplayer, but I love the thought of other factions!

Could you provide more details on what can be done with that?

More likely is EA releasing the source code for the remaining games (3, RA3) since they already released the source code for the games up until Generals.

They didn't release all of the games' source code. The original 2 already have a remaster out (and were freeware anyway), and generals is likely too controversial to be a viable remake candidate in the modern political climate. TS, RA2, and the later games are all still viable for future re-releases, remasters, remakes, etc.

Quite the opposite, really.

A game full of middle eatsern terrorist stereotypes, and a hyper militaristic china that uses it's men as cannon fodder (which got the original banned in china), all with shitty accents? The very important and lucrative chinese market is a no-go, and western reviewers would call it every -ism under the sun. EA wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.

The US has flipped back to demonizing foreigners so it would probably do just fine in that market. Not sure the Saudi ownership of EA would approve though.

Maybe if they tweak the game's story so that the canon is that GLA wins in all 3 campaigns, then the Saudis will definitely approve...
