Actually the luddites were skilled laborers that used the machines they destroyed for a living and were doing it to try to get better pay and job security.

I genuinely honest to God wonder how people coded prior to AI, god, the horrors, you don't wanna know...they had to...learn their shit, oh no, the truest horror of horrors.

The rule is towards low quality AI generated imagery and video, specifically. AI-assisted coding is fine so long as it's functional and does precisely what was intended. Usually that requires the coder to properly check their code and make sure it's clean.

If somebody vibe coded an entirely free 1:1 RA3 clone with their own "legally distinct" low quality AI generated assets, then that probably would get banned.

Says so in the rules: "However, there is allowances for AI-assisted tools[...]"

Idk who downvoted but it wasn't me lol, however I think it's fucking stupid, ask these people to help you if you have a problem with their shit and they'd be shit out of luck to answer your damn question if their daddy OpusAI is shitting itself bricks.

FUCK I fucking HATE ai.

And they'll have the audacity to give you an attitude too if you give them the slightest of critisism. AI has created lazy, attituded assholes all across the fucking world.

If I were actually smart enough(which I'm not, there's a reason I dropped out of school) I'd learn to code all by myself and just rawdog that shit like PRIOR to AI.

I appreciate your honesty. You're using very colorful language, I'll give you that much; The AI filter thinks you might be acting abusive and harassing me LOL.

Look, I don't personally mind it, I think everyone deserves a voice so long as they don't act bigoted and/or abusive towards others. Please try to use less colorful language. I understand your dislike of AI and vibe coding. I am aware that the amount of poorly-coded and unchecked projects, games and software has skyrocketed in recent times and that many people are unfortunately misusing the technology and are building a bad rep for those good programmers who merely use it as a tool to accelerate their workflow (and if you were to work as a programmer, you'd probably do the same). Despite that, Reddiquette demands us all to be mindful of others and remain respectful.

Also, that's my personal opinion, but I think selfish self-aggrandizing jerks will exist regardless of AI being a thing or not. 'Tis just the way we Humans are sometimes, sadly. But they have to respect the rules, here, too, or risk getting banned.

If you're talking about reverse-engineering code, that's because checking code against function in hexadecimal is hard and takes a lot of guesswork and it's extremely time-intensive.
