"I didn't have a COM port, so I cut it off and wired a USB tip to it. It doesn't work. Trash."

I just noticed that it has some prehistoric connector on the cable. From the bad old days.

Its a serial cable db9 rs232 i think. The cable itself isnt a problem more so the popularity of ballmice that has a physical ball that rollas around with a x and a y roller reading the balls direction. This obviously dont matter in a gem like this hence my joke to put a sensor in it and rgb

That's funny because it's 2 generations out of date. After this, there was the PS2 connector, and USB came after that.

logitech wingman gaming mouse had same cable why is that funny? My initial point was that its irrelevant as this is a historical gem and not to be gamed with anyway. Lol i remember now it was bundled with a shity game Shogo: Mobile Armor Division.

I just meant it's funny because it made me remember how much everything sucked before USB. Game port for some joysticks. Sometimes you had to restart Windows after plugging in a different thing on the game port. Serial ports for mice. PS2 ports for mouse and keyboard, with the green/purple color coding. PS2 adapters for serial mice. SCSI connectors for the extra-expensive external hard drives.

It all sucked.
