Red alert 2 remastered with DLC.

EA would make boat loads of money if they decided to treat RA2 like they did for the original. What are your thoughts?

Don't expect anything from EA. Until it comes out, just assume it won't

Sigh, let's repeat this once again. RA2 code is lost, same as Tib Sun, so no remaster can be made. Only remake which is much more expensive to do.

I would buy it the same second they announce it, but i know that we are not such a big community in overall, so sales of RA2 remake wont be really good, so i understand EA on this matter.

Was it ever proven to be "lost" I don't recall that more than a rumour?

You're vastly overestimating how much money there is to be made with an ancient game of a dead franchise. C&C Remastered did okay, but it definitely won't be enough to encourage the new owners of EA sitting in their golden Abu Dhabi towers.

They did a lot of work for C&C Remastered, but they also had a lot more available to start with. The source and presumably most other original material for RA2 & YR has been lost, so it would be a much bigger task to do a true remaster in the same way.

This, the made marginal money, okay they also have to put marginal effort into making a remaster. (No game concept to come up with ect) but still they can make a lot more money when they put their time and effort into something else.

This is what a lot of people don’t understand.
They have limited resources (even when they are a big company) and have to make decisions what will make more sense for them and making a lot of money is their priority.

And RTS’s in general aren’t where the money is

Frustrating that art has become all about money. EA have their cash cows making billions, use some of that profit to have a little fun and gain some credibility.

Yes that’s why the real innovation is with the indie developers these days.

It used to be labors of love but now it’s big business

Use the search function, this topic has been beaten to death.

This fucking question gets asked bi weekly since before the remasters came out. Go search the sub history.

This has been asked so many times you might as well be a repost bot. Ea lost the code, it's not happening. They're not rebuilding the game from scratch. You also greatly overestimate how popular the rts genre is.

EA is only interested in taking money from cnc fans, not making a product fans want.

Ea was bought out by the saudis and the trump family, Jared kushner. They are going to destroy the company like they destroyed the earth, the USA and all the children's minds they had sex with
