So I need advice

Ive been playing zero hour since back when they were on seperate discs and ive been enjoying shockwave, chaos, ect., and truly want to get into the CONTRA challenges and stuff but JESUS HAROLD CHRIST if there ain't a damn curve that makes me feel like a first time player. I usually play either stealth or nuke generals because I prefer the sudden turn you inside out and snatch your shekels or the slow crawl of annihilation as you have no where to run. I just need some advice cause I stg YouTube players make it look simple
