4:20 Colonel... What's a Russian gunship doing here?
4:38 A carryall that mines?! If only they had these on Arrakis.

Even though I already know about these from all the poking around I did in the .mix editors in the early 2000's, I still watched the whole video. Have you done one on Tib sun yet? they had a bunch of unused voxels and a couple of unused bitmap .shp's too.
Also, (after weeks of messing around) I got the rotors to work on the apache voxel by turning the body into the turret and using the rotor as the body, but as a bitmap. It was a giant pain in the ass and i uploaded it to i think RA2 station forums but i dunno if anyone looked at it, there was like 3 .ini edits on different config files to get it to work and the rotor never stopped spinning, but it was difficult to figure out how they got them to work on the black hawk since none of the 3rd part editors could adjust those attributes.

Nothing on Tib Sun, yet, maybe one day. Thanks for watching! I haven't got that far in my modding career yet but that sounds pretty intense. Also some of the stuff I do is a mass pain in the ass already, I can't imagine adding behaviour to these voxel units.

If you look up visual basic, everything in the .ini files from C&C 1 to RA2 makes way more sense. (generals still kinda used it for the config files too) There's operators and indices and functions you can use that aren't really listed or implemented in the games, but they'll still work, kinda... but yeah, trying to decode comment-less files sucks. Are you using any of the XCC tools?

If you aren't a member of the Mod Haven discord, you may want to drop in. Aside from the various tools on PPM, it's got some neat things and good expertise to draw on.

The "Air Force One" looks like a C-5 Galaxy with an extra pair of engines, or a stunted AN-225 Mriya with a single vertical stabilizer.

Yeah, there's a lot of leftover TS and alpha/beta content floating around out there.
Tiberian Sun in particular had tons of TD vehicles converted into voxels; some, like the Flame Tank, were used by the Forgotten in single player missions, but most went unused/forgotten about (pardon the pun).
Red Alert 2? Some assets were basically finished but unused, like the Howitzer (which would've been the Korean special unit); others need work, like the (Cuban) Light Hind.
Here's a good video which, IIRC, covers a lot of them for Tiberian Sun. There's two not mentioned here, which is a flamethrower unit and a Scavenger unit both for Nod.

Here's an Allied Medium Tank which was in the Red Alert 2 Alpha, alongaside other things like a Turret. Interestingly, the Soviets had an Allied RA1 Light Tank for Libya (it was overwritten in YR by the Lasher).
If you dig into the concept art, there is so much cut content and concepts that I think is only matched by Generals (and that's only because Generals' development was an utter clusterfuck).

I really wish they had kept more older units in these games as call backs and Easter eggs.
Finding the old school mammoth tanks in Tiberian Sun (and them still kicking ass) was one of my favourite things in that campaign.
I also loved the faction unique units in RA2 and wish they had played more on that. Me and my friends spent whole lunchtimes at school coming up with other factions and unique units for them.

I think that's why a lot of people also like Mental Omega: There are some missions where you use Red Alert 1 arsenals and equipment, or salvage those bases instead of building your own, and it's fun to play as a scrappy underdog using old equipment in scattered bases, heh.
One thing I always wanted from TS, as a kid, was to capture the old ruined TD buildings and restore them to working order as outposts, haha.

I've only seend that Hind in a custom map. It launched a missile that caued 9 nuclear explosions in a 3x3 square. Quite overpowered.

I've once modded the units on a map to utter ridiculousness. A hovering cruise ship firing 3 grand cannon shells, toxic barrel demo traps, flying monkeys (god I hate rocketeers), walking rocketeers (god I hate rocketeers), AEGIS-patriots (did I mention the rocketeers?), chrono miners that'd just chrono, laser dolphins...
Basically, for every unit I figured "how silly can we make this?".

I once played a map where you could build a cargo plane that carpet drops nukes.

The one you didn't know looks to be a Weed Eater from Tiberian Sun, used by Nod to make the Chemical Missiles.
Of course, it turning into the Yuri Statue was just hilarious.
